A Norwegian welt is a favoured construction for hikers as it provides extra stability and protection, with the leather welt covering the join between the upper and the sole; we’ve opted for the St Moritz rubber outsole, which has a practical cleated tread with a cleated rubber top-piece on a leather stacked heel.
The vintage aesthetic of the upper has a supple bellows tongue; a traditional feature to prevent gaps in the upper. Antiqued brass D-rings and 2 top ski hooks keep a good flexible fit and make the boots quick and easy to pull on and take off, with an additional leather back pull tab. As you’d expect we’ve included a full calf leather lining and insock.
